1905 is the middle section of 3 buildings on the same lot in NE Washington, DC. The existing building was in eminent danger of collapse due to years of water infiltration & failed foundations. This 4,500 SF zero lot line urban project required the removal of the front and rear walls, foundations, roof & decking, and all interior improvements including a mezzanine.
DCI proposed a new masonry walls with vibrant metal cladding on the front façade for the new building; offering a unique street presence. Aluminum windows are strategically placed to provide security while introducing natural daylight.
