The auditorium in the UMD Architecture Building was in need of a total lighting and A/V systems modernization from the original 1972 design. The existing perforated metal panel ceiling system and downlights were in disrepair and difficult to maintain. DCI designed an open grid wood panel ceiling infill with linear LED lighting that seamlessly integrates with the existing wall paneling for an updated and modern look. Pre-set options for lighting controls allow for easy light level transitions for common uses in the lecture hall.
